This week I gained some insight about myself. Every decision I make in life is a crossroad. With each decision I either move in the direction of my destiny or in the direction of an illusionary happiness. Each choice reflects whether I am living unconsciously in fulfillment of my egoic plan or consciously in fulfillment of the Creator’s master plan. The only way to know is to be, not to think.
True happiness is inner peace. Unhappiness is the thwarted wanting of my ego searching for an illusionary happiness. The ego identifies with happiness as the temporary period of satisfaction it feels between having and wanting more. The ego always wants more and is only ever temporarily satisfied. Happiness is bound to be elusive when it is chased by material wanting. In a conscious state of Being I find inner peace, and my purpose is manifest.
